Kaneh Co Blondies

Kaneh Co created a line of cannabis-infused snacks. The snack I chose to go with was their Pb & J Blondies. When I saw them, I had to have them, they sounded absolutely delicious. Their description clearly states on the front that they are a peanut butter and raspberry jam blondie topped off with roasted peanuts sprinkled on top. It reminded me of those Smucker’s PB&J Uncrustables, so I wanted them. They have a total of 100mg of THC in each bag. Each blondie contains 10mg of THC per blondie. The bag suggests that you refrigerate them after opening them to preserve their quality in taste. I would suggest hiding these in a locked fridge or perhaps some place where children or pets cannot get to them.

Now, let me just start off by saying right off the bat that I love the packaging of their bag, it’s a sleek and simple design. It has a beautiful streak of teal right across the top of the bag, then we come down to the center of the bag which has their logo printed in bold font, with just splash of a plum color towards the bottom of the bag that is very pleasing to the eye.

I had only eaten one edible as I did have a doctor’s appointment early the next day and didn’t want to sleep right through everything and miss my appointment. After about an hour of having taken these, I felt euphoric, very chill, and relaxed. After a couple hours had passed, I got the munchies, and then a while after I felt very focused, and energetic. I felt as if I could power through all of my writing, go to the gym, and maybe even get my whole house cleaned, okay, well, some of it cleaned. Let’s not get too carried away with that there ha.

These blondies tasted a lot like little fluffy pound cakes. Unfortunately, I didn’t really get much of the raspberry flavor with the one I tried, but these did have a pretty strong canna-butter flavor and a strong peanut butter flavor. They were really light and delicate which isn’t something that I can say I’ve experienced before when it comes to other edibles. And, I actually really liked the texture of these edibles.

Now, I don’t do edibles that often, but I honestly feel like one would be more than enough just to take the edge off. But I could be wrong, so always practice the rule of thumb, a little at a time goes a long way, especially when it comes to edibles. If you’re not feeling anything within an hour, hour-and a half, add a tiny bit more, and I want to emphasize on tiny cause while you can’t take some away once it’s consumed, you can always add more on, right? And, again, I’m not a medical professional, so use these at your own risk.

For me, these blondies took away my back pain for a while. I was able to enjoy my book, my snack, and my cup of tea, and towards the end of the night, I felt calm and even got a little couch locked there for a bit. So, if you do plan on getting these, then make sure you take them at night or when you know you don’t got to be anywhere or do anything. The only negative thing I could really say about these is I feel like the lack of raspberry jam is where they could use improvement. Other than that, kudos to you, Kaneh Co, you really delivered when it came down to it.

Plain Jane- Hemp Rolls

Not too long-ago Plain Jane reached out to me asking if I’d like a sample of their product. if I remember correctly, I had found their site about a week prior to that. I had replied to them saying something along the lines of how that’d be great, and how I was already planning on doing a review for them. So, I held off my order till the product arrived; however, I hadn’t received it, so I contacted them about it and went ahead with my order. The response was a bit delayed. And, I completely understand the whole situation. Things do get lost in the mail all the time. They even mention on their site “Over 99% of the time, our packages arrive on time with no delays. On occasion, a package will get lost in the mail, or arrive later than expected.”. -Plain Jane. And, I imagine there is a lot of messages they must go through on a daily basis, so I understand how things can get overlooked sometimes. I had also only messaged them through their contact form on their site and not one of their social media platforms too which I probably should have done as well, but I didn’t.

But, with all that set aside let’s move onto the actual review… This review will actually be more of a 2-in-1 sort of thing and you’ll see why. Now, I’m pretty sure this company is a small CBD farm that’s based out of Oregon. I placed my order and it arrived within about a week and they do give you confirmation number with your order. Honestly, their package couldn’t have come at a better time because my anxiety has just been so off the charts lately. The price of their products is truly at an incredible price that’s going to be hard to beat. You won’t find CBD at a better price and believe me I’ve looked. To be honest most CBD companies have their stuff listed at absurd prices. The cheapest I’ve ever seen CBD go for was 50 bucks. I even remember Jeckyl and I having to pay probably close to $100 once for a bottle of a CBD tincture that didn’t even end up doing anything for me but was the only thing available at the time in the dispensary near me. That was all when I learned that CBD just doesn’t work for me in terms of pain control and that’s fine, I just wish we hadn’t spent so much on the damn thing.

When my anxiety started to go ape shit on me again, I decided to give it another go and look into it some more which is when I stumbled upon Plain Jane. Now I knew this was going to be a long shot going in cause I knew CBD pretty much just made me sleepy every time I’ve had it in the past and that was about it. But I still placed my order with them in hopes it would help with my anxiety and insomnia. I ordered their Hemp Rolls which are a low-smelling discreet way of smoking hemp and when I say they really are discreet, I mean it. They’re wrapped in a fine white rice paper cigarette casing and honestly, they fooled my family and friends when I pulled these things out and passed them around. If you saw my video, then you’ll see I was trying out their original hemp rolls, I guess you could say? But I had also got their Full Flavor Hemp Rolls which was what I brought with me while we were out visiting everyone. I could feel a flare was about to come on just as we were getting ready to leave, so I thought it was best to bring them with me just in case which is why they weren’t in the video.

My family had no idea it was CBD till I mentioned it. It looked exactly like a regular menthol cigarette. Then they all began to ask where I got them and how they could get some too which honestly I had forgotten the name of them because by that point I had already had brain fog, was in the middle of a smoke sesh, and was being hit with the freezing cold air that was giving me pain in my hands, so I couldn’t exactly think straight in the moment. And, yes, I did inform them where I got them and all that information once I was warm again and could think a bit straighter when the fog cleared. The full flavor hemp didn’t have much of a smell and didn’t have much of a taste that I could really notice, but after a while, having used it, I could feel the inflammation in my body lessen from my flare.

At this time, I was having pain in my body that felt like I had internal bruising, so it hurt to breathe, and it hurt to sit. After some time had passed from taking the CBD, I was still in pain, but it made enough difference where I could feel the inflammation in my body was a little bit lesser than before which honestly was a great relief cause I haven’t been on pain meds or inflammation meds since I was hospitalized from taking them over a year ago, so I can only imagine how much pain relief it gives to those that CBD does work for in that way.

I fell asleep for a bit when we got home which was probably the most sound sleep I’ve had in a quite some time and honestly it was incredible. As you guys know, I battle with insomnia so I don’t always get to go into REM or sleep well at all for that matter, so I was pretty happy when I woke and found I didn’t have to strain in agonizing pain nearly as much getting out of bed. I still strained, of course, just not as much as I normally do. I ate dinner which was some vegan spring rolls I had made right before we left earlier that day and then shortly after, I started feeling that bruising pain coming back pretty strong on again and could feel my heart racing and leg beginning to shake from the anxiety coming on at the same time too, so I went outside to try those Plain Jane original hemp rolls for you guys.

Freezing my ass off, I sparked up the rolls in my Batman jacket, and tried to calm my ass down before heading back to bed. Their original hemp rolls were great. It’s got a nice slow burn and kept a strong cherry. I could feel my anxiety dissipate from my body which was the whole reason I got them in the first place, was in hopes they’d help with my anxiety in any way possible. And, I’m sure you could see that in my video as well how they affected me. I didn’t smell anything from these ones while I was smoking it and there was a subtle hemp flavor to the original ones I picked up on more than the full flavor ones, but it didn’t have that much of the flavor on my tongue while I was outside smoking them. It wasn’t until I got done smoking and came back inside the warm house where I finally got the after taste of the rice paper and hemp blended with the taste of the ginger sesame spring rolls that I had just eaten which yes, was a bit weird, but it made me laugh.

These original hemp rolls and their full flavor ones are offered in a 2 ct, 20 ct, and then just go up from there in larger quatities you can order. Each roll contains 72mg of CBD and that’s a total of 1440mg of CBD a carton. Overall, if you’re someone like me where your anxiety is a bit too much to handle sometimes or you suffer from insomnia, inflammation, chronic pain, or whatever else then I’d definitely look into Plain Jane some more. I’d recommend giving them a try because there are so many other benefits to CBD and their hemp rolls are actually really good quality.  I really do like these CBD hemp rolls and I am definitely for sure I will be getting these again for myself.

Now when it comes to the box I chose, I had a little trouble at first when checking out on their site, but the customer support rep I had and the rest of the staff were super friendly the entire time and so very helpful and I truly just had nothing, but a positive experience with this company despite that the little hiccup on their site. Once my order was processed, they shipped it really quick to me and I was lucky enough that it arrived within a few days for me.

Inside the box I received was an EZ splitter which is always handy to have around when you need to roll a blunt and honestly just gives you a cleaner cut to your wraps or cigars in terms of prepping your blunts. I also got their Hemper roach clip which honestly is probably my favorite thing that was inside this box because it’s a mini switch blade clip; both of those items also came with a little key ring, so you can attach it to your keys, purse, backpack, or whatever so it’s always with you which I love when things have that on them. There was some Twisted Hemp wraps in the flavor grape burst which smelled so amazing and kind of gave off this nostalgic smell of grape bubble gum from back in the day when I was a kid. And, honestly, they tasted just as good as they smelled. I also got their Hemper clipper lighter which is a bit tricky to take apart especially if you have long nails, so keep that in mind, but it’s very stylish and is refillable so you can use it over and over again. The next thing I got was their glass filter because I don’t always have filters on me, and it just seemed logical to get one that is re-useable.

My last item I went with was their odor eliminator which honestly just wasn’t for me. I’m a bit sensitive to smells, so it was just a little bit overwhelming for me. Aside from all those items, Hemper was nice enough to send a sticker which I think just looks cool. It gives off a very vintage feel to it. To my surprise they also sent a joint holding silicone ring in my box which I really do appreciate. I really look forward in keeping my subscription with them and seeing what other goodies they have in store for me.

Willie's Reserve-Green Crack

I decided to set up a tent in my backyard to smoke in while I was outside. I like having a place I can go just chill out, smoke, and just unwind. It was warm and breezy outside, so it was the perfect setting for a midday smoke. I honestly really enjoy smoking in this tent, but unfortunately due the raining season here in California I had to pack everything up. There was a surprise shower and the tent just couldn’t stand up in the winds since the ground had soften the soil around the weights from the rain. My last strain I smoked in my tent happened to be Green crack.

 Green crack is a sativa blend that is sure to get you up and moving or at least in the bit keep you awake during your busy day. This strain helped me fight off my ongoing battle with chronic fatigue. I get stumped with fatigue pretty much anytime of the day, but mostly in the afternoons. I remember trying this flower for the first time and it got me up and moving where I was able to get in an actual workout which I haven’t been able to do in quite some time because of my health. So, if you’re looking for a strain that can really keep you awake, I’d definitely give this one a look. This strain would also be the perfect strain to smoke right before your workout at the gym.

 There was an interesting taste with this strain. This one came from Willie’s reserve. It was wrapped in a RAW paper. I wouldn’t be able to comment on the color of this strain as it was a pre-roll. There was a just a strong sense of a lemony floral taste amongst it. The citrus flavor was a lot stronger than the floral taste in this strain.

This strain made me feel very relaxed, euphoric, and energized. I enjoyed this strain with my tablet in hand. I didn’t feel hungry or anything like that with this strain, the only negative side effect I got when I smoked it was that I got really bad cotton mouth, but other than that it was just a pleasant high experience.

Flow Kana-Jack Herer

This week I gave the strain Jack Herer by Northern California’s Flow Kana a try. This strain is supposed to be the result of Northern Lights and Shiva Skunk and honestly I’m not a fan of it. Perhaps it’s just me, but this strain just doesn’t do it for me, especially taste wise. To be frank, I tend to lean more towards sweeter strains that aren’t so harsh tasting for me. It tasted like gasoline to me and then later tasted almost like some weird kind of fruity flavor. I couldn’t quite place what exactly the taste was, but it reminded me of the way some exotic fruits taste. It was really complex and confusing. There are some exotic fruits that have more than one flavor or scent to them which can be a good thing or can come off as a bit overwhelming. It sort of reminded me of grapes, but then also like minty and peppery after a little while.

I felt clear minded after the first hit or so, but then got cotton mouth shortly after and eventually got a little confused cause my brain fog was starting to kick in, so I just ended up blanking out for a little bit. I just didn’t feel as focused or clear minded like I had in the beginning. I did feel really relaxed though. When I started to come down from this strain, I felt hungry and a little anxious and had this menthol sensation in the back of my throat, so every time I took a drink of water I would feel a cool sensation which I honestly don’t mind, but it just didn’t help with the cotton mouth situation at all. There was an almost very subtle floral sense to it as well which was a bit odd for me. If you can get passed all that, then this strain might be something to consider giving a try because while it wasn’t exactly my cup of tea, it did make me feel relaxed and clear minded for a brief moment. I should also mention that I did feel a bit of creativity while I was on this strain. My boyfriend, Jeckyl, likes to 3D print various things and was showing me something he was working on and I was able to figure out what colors would complement what he was working fairly really quick, so that made me really happy.

Creativity wise this is a good strain, but I don’t think I’ll be getting this strain again after it’s gone. I did really like the packaging of this product. The herb was inside a very beautiful mocha colored container with gold lettering across it which looked very gorgeous and had this vintage feel about it. I just didn’t like the strain though.

Korova-Mendo Breath

Let's just jump right into it and say Mendo breath is my absolute favorite. This strain comes from Korova. It’s rich intoxicating aroma and flavor that comes from this strain is just amazing. Its indica-dominant feel makes relaxing before bedtime a must have in your stash. This strain is a cross between Mendo Montage x OGKB.

This strain left a light floral and earthy taste on my taste buds like no other. Its aroma is just heavenly and reminded me so much of sweet vanilla bean macarons. Its taste isn't the only thing about this strain that's got something to brag about. Its effects made me feel fuzzy and giddy all over. I felt the pain in my body lessen and fell into a deep state of relaxation that I was able to enjoy for quite a while. The Best part about this strain that I loved was that I was finally able to get that much needed sleep my body was craving for so desperately.

My only complaint I had was that I wasn't able to get a container of the flower off the menu since the dispo was out. I could only get a pre-roll of it which I burned through really quick. I really do wish I was able to get Mendo Breath in the flower itself, but maybe next time they'll have it. This strain is great for pain, anxiety, and insomnia. And for some reason, the name of this strain reminds me almost as if it came out a story book. This strain just has something about it that seems almost mystical where there's dragons, sweets, and the feel of warm spring air about it, if that makes sense, or, it could be I was just really high, but either way, it left a pleasant feeling.

Good on you Korova you’ve definitely deserved first place on my list of top strains. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of this strain, but if you guys happen to come across it in your local dispensary, maybe give it a try? It’s well worth it in my opinion. Henry's Original-God's Gift

I recently ran out of cannabis and decided to hit the dispensary. It was right around Thanksgiving time and I was hoping that I would find somewhere that would be open during morning hours. I called around and to no avail was I able to find a place that was open. I had to wait till after the holiday had passed before hitting the road. Now, normally I check the dispensary’s menu before I go.

I saw that what I had originally wanted to get there was no longer available on their menu, but I saw that they’d be open for quite a while that day before closing, so I had time to browse around. I was looking for an Indica-dominant strain that would help with my pain as well as help me sleep. I contemplated what I should get while I was there as I didn’t exactly have a much to choose from with the prices they were listed at. Thankfully my dispensary was doing a holiday special and I saw a strain that was named God’s Gift. I quickly looked up the reviews on it and saw people were raving about it and it was right within my budget price, so I decided to take a chance and get it.

God’s gift is a cross between OG Kush and Grandaddy Purp, both are supposed to be excellent strains for pain, anxiety, stress, & insomnia. I paid for my herbs, tipped the budtender, & went on my way. I waited till that evening when I got back before giving it a try as Indica strains are usually more for night time use. When I went for a smoke sesh later that evening, I was really looking forward to this strain. I opened the container and was hit with a pleasant smell of floral scents with a subtle hint of black pepper. Keep in mind I’ve never tried this strain before, so I didn’t know what to expect. It smelled amazing & had colors of green swirled with a little bit of orange mixed in it.

I filled my bong with cold water, put the screen in, & loaded it up. I was finally ready to light up when I noticed my favorite lighter was not in my bag & nothing is worse than forgetting your lighter. I had a backup lighter but couldn’t get it to light for me. I was finally able to light the wick on the lighter and get a nice hit out of my bong. The strain had a nice light flavoring of cracked pepper and eventually by the second or third hit, the mist outside in the autumn air began to taste like peppered water. My sister-in-law & I joked about it. And, I will admit, I was feeling good, relaxed, & mellowed out. I felt calm and euphoric. It didn’t make me sleepy though. I thought to myself ‘Maybe it’s just me? Maybe I didn’t have enough? I’ll just wait’…

The next night while I was at home, I couldn’t find the pepper during dinner time and I thought to myself ‘That strain would be really great before eating my soup cause then I wouldn’t have to worry about adding in pepper to my mushroom soup’. As time went on that evening, I was in a lot of pain. I had an oncoming migraine, my head was pounding, & felt like it was going to explode. Once again, I packed a bowl & prepared to light up; thankful I was back home, where I could use my trusty lighter that I had forgotten the previous night.

The crisp cold air swept in, as I opened the door to step outside. I sat down, lit my bong, & took the first rip off it. Again, I was met with the pleasant taste of black pepper that soon settled on the back of my tongue. I took my time to appreciate the flower just as it should be. 15 minutes or so had passed by and I could feel my migraine starting to dissolve, it hadn’t completely gone away, but it did lessen the pain. I once again watched the mist in the night air go by as I waited for God’s gift to do its magic.

After some time had passed, I went back inside & laid down. I closed my eyes. I felt euphoric & calm, but unfortunately for me I never did get the sleep I wanted from this strain. My vision was slightly blurred, but I still could feel the pain that was aching in my back & I never did get to sleep like I had wanted from this strain. I would say the effects lasted maybe about an hour before I could feel it wear off.

In my opinion, this strain is great for anxiety, relaxing, & just chilling out. It helped with my migraine, but not very much. I honestly just expected more from this strain given the name and lineage, but everyone’s body works differently, I suppose. If you’re looking for a strain to just chill out with then this might be the way to go. It’s still a good strain though. Until next time, bye!

Korova-Sunshine Daydream

I'm not sure where to start with Sunshine daydream. This little number hits hard and packs a punch with some not so dreamy side effects in my case. This strain had its pros and cons. It started off great but left me feeling not so great for a minute. In my experience with this strain it was tangy and full of citrus. This strain comes from a lineage of Blue Moonshine x Appalachia which is supposed to be good with things like pain, anxiety, depression, and insomnia. The trichomes on this thing truly sparkled as if they were sunbeam's themselves, they were so blinding. The smell was lovely. Now, when I say it smelled lovely, it smelled lovely. It had this zesty citrus smell that reminded me of blooming lemon blossoms.

I had originally taken this strain in hopes it would help with the pain I was having that night and let me get some sleep, but I couldn't sleep for shit with all the pain I was having. I was able to get the flower of this strain. This strain is from the brand Korova. I grabbed my piece, filled it up with ice cubes and cold water and made my way outside.

I lit up and within a matter of maybe 10 minutes this thing knocked me on my ass. The pain in my body had reduced significantly. When I was finished with my bowl, I tried to get up, but felt myself becoming couch locked and a bit tingly which made me straight out laugh about it. I moved as quickly as I could inside, but then stopped off in the kitchen to grab a snack. Cereal sounded like the perfect snack and boy was that a mistake because the feeling of the cereal in my mouth cracked and popped which made me laugh uncontrollably. When I was finished with that bowl, I could feel my body start to grow heavy, all while still laughing from the cereal I had just finished.

The tingly feeling I had felt earlier increased and by the time that I had gotten to the room it ended up triggering my Raynaud's. Now if you don't know what Raynaud's phenomenon is, it's where the blood vessels in your hands, feet, or nose tighten to a great extent causing the blood flow in those areas of the body to turn white then eventually blue from lack of oxygen which can be really painful. Usually I get a Raynaud's attack when I'm exposed to cold temperatures, but that's not the only way an attack can happen. It was warm in my house so I'm not sure what was going on there. I sat in front of the heater, but then as soon as I'd move away from the heater it'd start acting up again. I eventually got under a thick layer of blankets and just crashed as soon as I got warm enough.

The next night I hit this herb I was met with all the same things I experienced the previous night, except I was prepared this time with gloves and the effects weren't nearly as bad. I felt my eyes go hazy and decided to look in the mirror and saw my eyes were bloodshot and thought to myself 'I should take a pic'. I can't express it more how much laughter I had trying to get a picture of myself while high on this thing. I literally had the hardest time finding the lens on my phone to focus on which made me laugh even more and harder than I already was. In the end, I was able to take a few pictures. This strain made me feel happy, giggly, relaxed, sleepy, and just a little hungry.

Overall, I would say this strain is great. But maybe next time I'll sit in front of the heater while I smoke it. Now I want to make it very clear that I in no way blame Korova for my Raynaud’s episode. It's just something my body happened to do with this particular strain. Odd as it was; I expect it to happen now from time to time with other strains I may come across in the future. Bye for now!
